Abhishek Kumar Dubey
I am Abhishek Dubey, studying in the Masters Program for Universal Design (Inclusive Design) at the National Institute of Design, Bangalore, India. It is one of the three National Institutes of Design in India. It has 5 departments which are concerned with the modern aspect of design. We complete live and hypothetical projects concerning design for all, inclusivity, material culture research, cognition, and several other factors to customize the design to tailor fit existing contextual requirements.

For me coming over to Israel was an important decision. I am interested in exploring cultures apart from my own. Cultures that have made progress and continue to strive for betterment.
I had a choice for coming to Israel and going elsewhere too, though we know now I chose Israel. The decision to come over here incorporated the opportunity to learn and observe design from somewhere which is unapologetic in its approach. From my research, I also learned that the projects are fresh and explore the fundamentals of life through serious intent thoughts.

For my part, I am quite content with the style, flair, and methodology of teaching and efforts of teachers over at HIT. Though sometimes it gets confusing. It gets resolved since the teachers are patient enough to listen to our thoughts. I am right now working on an aquatic monitoring drone for sea life preservation. Adi and Shuli are my instructors for Industrial Design Class. They have been informative, supportive and still manage to provide constructive criticism. This is one of the best aspects of studying over here.

I would like to draw the attention to Housing and Communication. Housing is an issue that stresses students and wastes a lot of time. if possible the college can ask the students to communicate to selected foreign nations if they know about accommodation or there are families willing to host exchange students. The other part is language. One of the best souvenirs an exchange student can carry back home is the language of the land s/he has visited. if there can be an orientation week for the students where they can be taught phrases and general communication. it will be really helpful as it is done in European colleges as a part of student exchange.

I thank you for the opportunity to express myself and some challenges that I faced while coming over here. I will be happy to answer questions pertaining to this conversation.
